?The clinician and the scientist both need to communicate effectively with other professionals as well as the general public. The program cultivates communication skills through student presentations in research seminars and Journal Clubs. Professional development is further cultivated by reviewing the broad array of the different health care providers, their professional education, and their responsibilities. For example, we discuss the training, responsibilities, income, and employment potential of physician assistants, physical therapists, and the whole array of opportunities in nursing.? In addition, each student communicates regularly with an assigned faculty member who closely monitor?s their progress. Our faculty works with each student's unique strengths and weaknesses in order to assist them in meeting their career goals.
