This preprofessional, four-year bachelor of science (BS) or bachelor of arts (BA) degree provides a solid grounding in the broad concepts and specific skills you need to study professional architecture at the graduate level. It establishes a firm understanding of the field of architecture and an expansive way to view the world.

  • It provides all prerequisites for eligibility to enter a two-year accredited professional master of architecture degree program for those seeking licensure.
  • There are separate admission requirements for our undergraduate major and our master of architecture (MArch) program.
  • Admission and completion of the undergraduate degree does not guarantee admission to the graduate program.
  • The bachelor's degree in architecture program is not open to undergraduate students majoring in environmental design.

Upon completion of the first year, students will declare their interest in pursuing architecture as their major. Criteria for acceptance into architecture is based upon portfolio review. Student portfolios are created in the student's first year.
