The master of arts (MA) degree in applied gerontology is a 36-hour interdisciplinary program that provides you with a broad-based overview of aging and more focused training in a selected area of study. Seasoned gerontologists from various disciplines teach courses about special issues in aging and serving the older population.

Educational programs are focused on three levels: the processes of aging and the needs of an aging society; proficiency training for those serving older adults; and the development of expertise for professionals planning to specialize in geriatric services.
