The program emphasizes topics such as fitness and instructional technology, observational analysis and assessment, content and curriculum, motor development, and methods of teaching.

Most semesters, students participate in practicum experiences with Pre K-12 students. The program has high expectations for our students and expects them to be engaged in the major while becoming expert teachers at all levels and in all contexts.

The Ball State Health and Physical Education Teaching major provides an outstanding preparation for students as evidenced by a passing rate of 100% by our students on the National Teaching Exam.
