- Art majors start enrolling in art classes their first semester. Those who plan to major in Art who do not follow the required freshman and sophomore class offerings may hinder a four-year graduation schedule.
- A minor is offered for students who have an interest in art but wish to major in another area.
- All majors are required to participate in a variety of activities, not only attending class, but attendance at departmental functions and exhibitions are part of the graduation requirements.
- Majors will participate in a three course senior level assessment. These classes are one credit hour each. The classes are, Senior Comprehensives, Portfolio, and Senior Exhibition. During a student?s last year in school, the senior may elect to take these classes in any combination, except the Senior Exhibition which must be completed the last semester prior to graduation.
- ?The only exception to this rule is if the student is completing course work during the summer in which case, the student would enroll in their Senior Exhibition the spring semester prior to completing course work. Currently these classes are not offered during the summer.
