Southwest Minnesota State University is offering a Master of Science in Education with an English emphasis. The English emphasis is appropriate for licensed English/Language Art teachers, two-year college instructors, high school teachers seeking?credentialing?for concurrent enrollment courses, and people with bachelor's degree in English who wish to pursue coursework.
This emphasis allows students to add content and depth to their knowledge of literature and composition through research-based coursework. You can either earn the 16 credits in English through the credentialing option or take 35 credits to earn a Master of Science in Education with an English emphasis. This two-year program is offered with online English courses during the summer, and online education core courses during the fall and spring semesters. (Please note that there is a one-credit English course taught during fall semester).? Teachers seeking concurrent enrollment credentialing and not an entire Master's degree will only need to take the five English courses.
