The program?s electives allow students to specialize in one of two areas:
- Public accounting?(including tax and financial accounting)
- International accounting?(with relevance to public and private accounting)
This degree program fulfills requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA exam and for the CPA licensure in the State of Georgia.?Students have the option to pursue the degree in an accelerated, one-year plan or in a self-paced format that allows flexibility for working professionals.
The program is taught by Ph.D.-credentialed faculty with relevant professional experience in a small-class setting that provides students with greater support in their coursework and professional development throughout the program. Students also gain real-world business accounting experience through valuable internships and assistance with job placement opportunities.
The Master of Accountancy program is offered on Mercer?s Atlanta campus in a flexible, self-paced format:
- An individual course meets?one evening per week.
- Complete an entire course in an?eight-week session.
- Eight-week sessions enroll?five times per year.
- Comfortably take?two classes per term?to progress through the degree program more quickly.
