This program is designed for Rank 2 Kentucky certified teachers who would like to earn a master's degree, pursue Rank 1 status and complete the endorsement for Instructional Computer Technology. The MEd in Instructional Technology was designed in collaboration with P-12 classroom teachers, district specialists, and university faculty for preparing school and district Technology Coordinators. The program leads to an Instructional Computer Technology endorsement (grades P-12) and satisfies the following student outcomes:

  • Prepares candidates to be a technology-using teacher of students, as well as a Technology Coordinator for a school or district
  • Meets the International Society for Technology in Education Standards (ISTE)
  • Emphasizes a compendium of skills required for students to be competitive and successful in a global and digital world
  • Prepares candidates to work with P-12 students
  • Is taught by recognized faculty in collaboration with practitioners
  • Focuses on meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Places the classroom and school as the focus of course discussions and assessments
