• Master of Science in Business Analytics at the University of California Los Angeles is a 15 months program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The MSc in Business Analytics requires all students to complete core courses in 4 broad areas:
    • Programming and Data Management methods
    • Model Development and Construction
    • Business Analytics
    • Industry Applications.
  • It is a STEM-Certified program, which can extend an international student's Optional Practical Training (OPT) by 24 months - for a total of 36 months.
  • The courses of the program are only offered once per year.
  • With a 3:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students have access to world-renowned leaders in business analytics.
  • Students have to earn 48 units through coursework and the hands-on Capstone Analytics Project.
  • The program  has dynamic curriculum, taught by world-renowned faculty, merges technical and theory-based pedagogy with practical immersion through a summer internship and a corporate-sponsored Capstone i.e. Applied Analytics Project (AAP).
  • The program provides real-world experience through the summer internship and students required to complete a project after the internship.
  • Students are expected to have prior coding experience in some widely used programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java).
  • The language that will be used throughout the coursework is Python.
  • Merit scholarships of varied amounts are awarded to students based on the overall strength of their admission application and relative strength in the pool of admits.
