A major in criminal justice requires 30 credit hours, including CRJU 2300, 3303, 3304, 4300, and 4304. While the department will consider similar courses from other schools as substitutes for the core courses, the acceptance of those courses is solely at the department’s discretion. Students majoring in criminal justice must complete at least 15 hours within the Department of Criminal Justice at UA Little Rock. Admission to the major requires completion of RHET 1311, RHET 1312 and GPA of 2.25 or better; transfer students must have at least 12 hours at UA Little Rock. however, students may be provisionally admitted to the major and advised within the department before fully meeting requirements for admission to the major.
