The Forensic Science degree program provides students with an education in the use of science, mathematics, and statistics in legal proceedings. There are three options of study: Forensic Biochemistry, Crime Scene Investigation, and the Pre-Law 3-3 Program.
Majors in Forensic Science will be able to:
- Demonstrate scientific reasoning ability; the use of the scientific method.
- Describe the integration of the basic and applied sciences as it is relevant to the forensic sciences.
- Understand the theory and practice of physical, biological, and chemical evidence analysis in the framework of the criminal justice system.
- Communicate effectively as scientists.
- Integrate educational and professional goals.
- Foster internalization of ethical behavior and professional accountability.
