The Bachelor of Arts with a major in International Languages is a broadly based liberal arts degree that exposes students to a variety of African, Asian, European, and Middle-Eastern languages. Students take a combination of courses in two primary languages, chosen from among Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin, Persian, Russian, Spanish, and Swahili. The 45-hour major also allows students to choose language electives from approximately 50 world languages. All course work emphasizes the development of both written and oral language proficiency. This program offers students an extraordinary opportunity to develop language combinations tailored to their interests and career goals.
