Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
- Students with degrees in other branches of engineering or in mathematics, chemistry, physics, or other sciences, usually take undergraduate coursework to provide the necessary background for the graduate courses and are admitted provisionally.

Students who do not have a Chemical Engineering B.S. degree when entering the Master's program are required to take prerequisite courses in Chemical and Petroleum engineering as well as Geology where applicable. Grades of B or higher are required in the prerequisite courses for transfer to regular status. Those courses include? Momentum Transfer, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Kinetics, and Reactor Design, Heat and Mass Transport.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
