Our dance majors and minors have many opportunities for performance and advanced training during their college career. Two Main Stage dance concerts are produced each academic year featuring faculty and guest artists' choreography.
Other performance opportunities are offered by dance tours in schools throughout the state, participation in musicals or operas, and in student showcases of original work. Student choreography is presented each semester under the Choreography/Composition sequence, and elaborate creative endeavors are designed and supervised within an independent study or senior project.
Talented undergraduate choreographers are often selected to work on Main Stage musicals and operas. Our students also participate at the American College Dance Festival Association's (ACDFA) Northwest Conference each spring, both as performers and choreographers.
