Students can choose between two concentrations: exercise science or pre-physical therapy. For those planning to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy following graduation, the pre-physical therapy concentration is the best choice. This program includes a 16 credit hour core of chemistry and physics courses, which will equip you with the skills and understanding essential to success in your graduate program. The program also includes six semesters of practicums, giving students plenty of opportunities for hands-on training in the field of kinesiology. Course topics include coaching, human performance, weight training, sport psychology, care and prevention of athletic injuries, and ethics and spirituality in sports.
