• Students have the option of completing a Thesis Option program, Research Project Option program, or a courses only program.
  • The thesis program requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours of graduate work, including 6 credit hours of thesis.
  • The research project program requires the satisfactory completion of a minimum of 36 credit hours of graduate work, including a 3 credit hour graduate research project course that results in the preparation of a research paper shorter than a thesis.
  • The courses only program requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of 36 credit hours of graduate work.
  • All students, whether completing the Thesis option, Research Project option, or courses only option, must satisfactorily complete 3 semester hours of graduate-level statistics and 3 semester hours of graduate-level research methods.
  • With the approval of the graduate advisor, students may select graduate hours from a supportive area to augment their degree program, depending upon their academic and career goals. Supporting subject matter fields may include (but are not limited to) psychology, sociology, business administration, adult education, counseling and guidance, educational administration and instructional technology.
