Western Michigan University’s Manufacturing Engineering (M.S.) is designed to provide advanced competencies in the areas of computer aided manufacturing, computer-aided design and analysis, and integrated processing of polymers, metals, and other materials. The program was developed for decision-makers in manufacturing, engineering design, process engineering, quality assurance, and tooling design. It focuses on educating manufacturing engineers that can plan, test, produce and fabricate consumer and industrial products and equipment.A working engineer can complete this program in three years while maintaining full-time employment. Opportunities to conduct research through project and thesis options are offered. WMU’s Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering is a Registered Education Provider for the Project Management Institute.
