To be successful as an economist, you need to apply rational decision-making procedures to complex questions—you must be able to think analytically.
If you decide to major in economics in business at WMU, you will develop a solid background in several areas of business, including finance, marketing and accounting, and will graduate with a degree in economics from the Haworth College of Business. You will gain experience through part-time, summer or internship positions in financial service firms and develop strong interpersonal and communication skills, which will enable you to work well with a diverse clientele.
Similar to the B.A., this degree is housed in the Haworth College of Business. Students in the B.B.A. program have a bit more flexibility in course selection than the B.A., as several business courses can be substituted for required economics courses. This degree pairs well with a minor or major in the Haworth College of Business.
