Actuaries work primarily in a professional business setting using mathematics, statistics, economics and finance to help companies understand and manage financial risk well in the future.

While UIndy's actuarial science program focuses primarily on applying sophisticated math concepts to actuarial practice, you will also attend business courses to learn basic level business concepts such as?investments, macro and microeconomics and risk management.
