Many students who obtain a B.A. in at Adelphi University go on to study for a graduate degree in economics, business administration, or law. Others enter directly into employment in financial services, consulting, government, and related areas.

The economics major leads to the B.A. by successfully completing 120 credits of course work, consisting of 54 credits of General Education requirements and liberal arts electives, 15 credits of economic course requirements, 21 credits of economics electives including not more than 6 credits of cross-disciplinary electives, and 30 credits of free electives.
