In the psychology program, students will:
- Identify, synthesize, and critique information for scientific research
- Conduct all stages of scientific research in projects conducted by faculty members, the results of which are often published in professional journals
- Have the opportunity to present research results at local, regional, and national conferences
- Understand and demonstrate ethical principles in psychology
- Have the chance to study abroad during the fall of the sophomore year at the SHU in Dingle campus in Ireland
- Complete a semester-long internship in a setting that fits one’s career goals
- Gain real-world experience through the community service component of several courses
- Have the option to join the Psychology Club and Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology majors
