In the psychology program, students will:
  • Identify, synthesize, and critique information for scientific research
  • Conduct all stages of scientific research in projects conducted by faculty members, the results of which are often published in professional journals
  • Have the opportunity to present research results at local, regional, and national conferences
  • Understand and demonstrate ethical principles in psychology
  • Have the chance to study abroad during the fall of the sophomore year at the SHU in Dingle campus in Ireland
  • Complete a semester-long internship in a setting that fits one’s career goals
  • Gain real-world experience through the community service component of several courses
  • Have the option to join the Psychology Club and Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology majors
