In the Philosophy program, students will:

  • Benefit from small class sizes taught by accomplished full-time faculty who have degrees from top philosophy programs, are active in the field, and are highly accessible to students
  • Enhance your logical and critical thinking skills
  • Develop original philosophical reasoning and critique
  • Be able to explain and critically engage with influential theories of ethics, knowledge, metaphysics, and social and political philosophy
  • Advance your written communication skills, using original research and argumentation
  • Demonstrate oral communication skills in conversation and presentation on philosophy-related topics
  • Have the opportunity to complete an internship, participate in research opportunities, and serve as a teaching assistant and/or tutor
  • Complete a senior capstone project
  • Be eligible to join Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national scholastic honor society
  • Have the opportunity to study abroad
