• Students in the CSD major complete foundational coursework in audiology, speech-language pathology, normal language acquisition, anatomy and physiology, and phonetics.
  • In addition, students complete advanced courses in language and phonological disorders, organic disorders, speech science, clinical methods, and aural rehabilitation. Elective courses may be selected from the areas of physical sciences and mathematics, psychology, linguistics, and basic human communication.
  • The BA degree is considered a pre-professional degree since students must obtain a graduate degree in audiology or speech-language pathology to be employed as a certified speech-language pathologist (M.A.) or audiologist (Au.D.) in any work setting.
