- The Emotional Impairments concentration includes all of the coursework needed to earn the masters degree and State of Michigan, Emotional Impairments Endorsement. Candidates must pass the MTTC and hold a Michigan teaching certificate.
- The Master of Education in Special Education Program is a 30-credit hour program for teachers, administrators, social workers, other service providers and educators who wish to learn how to serve students with disabilities. Courses are offered with the working professional in mind. The courses required for the master's degree are offered during evening and summer hours and include several online courses.

- All undergraduate first-year applicants are required to submit test results from either the SAT or the ACT.
