Working in two new laboratories with professional equipment, students will learn about evidence collection, crime scene investigation, tissue sampling and analysis, and DNA analysis techniques.
Graduates are prepared to specialize in the analysis of crime scene samples and become accredited forensic biologists from the American Academy of Forensic Sciences or to continue their education in medical, graduate, or law school.
The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology (FB) is a new interdisciplinary degree program in biological science operated collaboratively by ERAU Prescott's College of Security and Intelligence and the College of Arts and Science.
The FB Curriculum brings together the disciplines of forensics, biology, chemistry, and law to give students the basic laboratory skills and theoretical background required of investigators and leading professionals in forensic science laboratories, law enforcement, pre-medical fields, research areas, and legal contexts.
