During the program at the University of South Carolina, you will learn from distinguished faculty who consistently rank among the finest in the world for their outstanding teaching and research efforts. You will utilize your study of anatomy, human physiology, organic chemistry and physics to develop the skills necessary to assist physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
This innovative, three-year program is followed by a hands-on clinical internship at an accredited hospital, where you will receive specific training in one or more areas of emphasis within cardiovascular diagnostics: invasive, noninvasive and vascular specialties.
The Cardiovascular Technology Program is affiliated with Providence Hospital's School of Cardiovascular Diagnostics in Columbia and Harry T. Harper Jr., M.D., School of Cardiac and Vascular Technology at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga., for the internship portion of the degree. The cardiovascular technology program is in the College of Arts and Sciences.
