In the  programme delivered by University of South Carolina, you will explore complex issues of power, inequality, justice, crime, poverty and conflict. You can take advantage of outstanding facilities that include the Laboratory for Sociological Research, one of the largest facilities of its type in the world, as well as a demography library, a statistics laboratory and two activity rooms for student research projects and observations.

The Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences offers a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science in sociology. The sociology requirements are the same for each, but there are different requirements in mathematics, humanities and social sciences for each degree.
