• We welcome students from many academic backgrounds to our courses in Latin, ancient and modern Greek, and classical humanities (classics taught in English). We offer undergraduate major tracks in classical humanities, Latin, or Latin and Greek; Masters degrees in Latin or Latin and Greek; undergraduate minors in classical mythology, archaeology, Latin, or Greek (ancient or modern); and a wide variety of courses that can be used to fulfill General Education and Global Engagement requirements.
  • We also study the reception of classical art and literature—the ways in which ancient works have been adapted, rethought, subverted, and emulated by creative souls in other cultures up to the present day.
