Students will develop an understanding of the core competencies of public management; political and financial processes, personnel administration, policy development and analysis, urban planning, and organizational development and behavior as they apply to a diverse workforce and citizenry. ?In addition, students will examine and apply the following: ?Research, decision-making and problem-solving skills, effective written, verbal, interpersonal and information management skills essential for public administrators, and?workplace behaviors (leadership, team work, motivation, and personal ethics) needed to perform effectively.
