Students who major in Communication are taught to speak, write and work professionally while gaining true understanding of communication situations, media, research and application. Courses look at the theory behind communication and its goals, while at the same time putting theoretical lessons and methods into practice in a variety of communication mediums. Communication students are taught to look beyond what the message is alone, and discover the meaning, reasoning and art behind it. Through class structure, independent study, and actual experience, students begin to understand and appreciate human interaction, and work to become professionals with up-to-date technology, skills and resources used in the industry.?
