We offer academic programs and research opportunities to help you understand disease causes, preventions and the best way to implement this knowledge to improve public health.

Our department focuses on understanding the determinants and prevention of disease, on the role of environmental factors in health and disease and how the administration of health programs can help implement this understanding.

We offer a doctoral and a master’s degree in epidemiology; our MS program includes a specialized concentration in clinical research. We also offer Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees with concentrations in epidemiology, environmental health and health services administration, as well as collaborative programs where you can earn an MPH and a medical, business, law, social work or pharmacy degree or an undergraduate degree in exercise science.
