As a moderately large graduate program, we have the critical mass for the state-of-the-art instrumentation required for modern research in chemistry. Still, the program is sufficiently small to have a nurturing and supportive environment for all the students.

The chemistry graduate program at UB provides a thriving educational and research environment that fosters the development of the human resources necessary to advance chemical sciences. At UB, you will work with faculty members at the cutting edge of research to impact science, technology, and society. Our graduate program, consisting of internationally recognized faculty members and about 150 graduate students, is ideally balanced in size to support state-of-the-art instrumentation while maintaining a nurturing, supportive environment for students. UB Chemistry is a highly interactive community with a strong tradition of graduate student mentoring by faculty.
