The curriculum emphasizes a broad exposure to mathematics, social sciences and a general education in management studies. The programs of study in management give particular attention to understanding the management functions of planning and control, the behavior of organizations, the tools of modern management, and the ways in which managers perform such functions as accounting, operations and supply chain management, production, marketing, finance, management information systems and human resources management.

Students interested in taking the New York State CPA examination need to be aware that the undergraduate accounting degree is not sufficient to sit for the NYSCPA exam as of August 1, 2009 and need to explore graduate studies to qualify, such as the Master of Science in Accounting in the School of Management.
