During the? programme offered by Monroe College students will be provided with the knowledge and skills needed to collect and analyze data, identify community needs, and plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles.?

Students are taught by public health professionals who have experience in areas such as women?s health, HIV/AIDS, chronic disease management, health education and program planning and evaluation. Faculty use project-based learning in the classroom, where students actively participate in the learning process and apply their critical thinking skills.?

Health Science offers a variety of career opportunities for BS graduates, including public health program specialists and coordinators, public health emergency response coordinators, public health policy analysts, public health information specialists, community outreach workers, patient advocates, health and wellness educators, and health researchers.??
