The M.Ed. degree program draws candidates from diverse backgrounds, including educators from the district, private, Catholic, charter, and international educational settings. This diversity allows for an intellectually rich and rigorous environment in which future educational leaders are prepared. Students engage different perspectives and question the core assumptions at the root of their educational philosophies in order to generate new approaches to the practice of educational leadership.
The Educational Leadership Program is committed to preparing the next generation of effective P-12 educational leaders. The Program seeks to develop aspiring principals who can provide leadership for learning, create fair and meaningful opportunities to learn for all students, are knowledgeable about standards-based reform and technological advances, and employ evidence-based practices.
