Engineering technology prepares students for careers that require an understanding of engineering principles and hands-on skills that allow them to design, analyze and develop mechanical prototypes and working models. They also have an understanding of lean manufacturing principles and quality systems.

Graduates of the engineering technology major are skilled engineering technologists, prepared to fill positions in areas directly related to mechanical product design. They may be involved in designing, analyzing, laboratory testing, product sales, and applications engineering in a team environment where knowledge of contemporary lean and quality concepts is essential. Engineering technology is a blend of the “hands-on” skills with technical subjects.

The Engineering Technology programme is offered at Bowling Green State University.
