The Applied Health Science degree program is designed to tailor a liberal arts education to the health care field. The program prepares students for graduate school in physical therapy, occupational therapy, public health, physician assistant, microbiology, and is compatible with the admission requirements of most medical, dental and veterinary schools. The program is also ideal for students who hold an associate degree in a health-related field and wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
The degree has six specializations: Allied Health, Health Care Administration, Community Health, Respiratory Care, Applied Microbiology, and Health Science. The latter two articulate with graduate programs at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus.
