Importantly, you’ll follow a course of study endorsed by the American Chemical Society (ACS), which guarantees a respected curriculum. You’re also encouraged to join the student branch of ACS. Suffolk’s chapter is recognized nationwide for its sponsored lectures and community service projects. Many students volunteer at the nearby Museum of Science and the Boston Children’s Museum. Each year, chemistry students attend the national ACS meeting to hear the latest research and developments in the field.
This program at Suffolk University is ideal if you hope to go on to a research career or to graduate school. A chemistry major is a great “building block” for a career, too: Many students go on to high-demand fields including pharmaceuticals, environmental health, and manufacturing.
