BU’s Master of Arts in Psychology provides the flexibility to pursue a variety of areas in psychology, building on a common foundation of scientific methodologies.
The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences offers a one-year, eight-course program of study leading to the Master of Arts in Psychology.
The program satisfies the interests of those who wish to undertake a rigorous course of study that leads to a master’s degree.
Particular strengths of the program include cognition, neuroscience, developmental science, and clinical psychology.
This program is ideal for students who wish to strengthen their understanding of research methodology and clarify their interest in the field in preparation for employment or advanced graduate training.
Candidates for the MA in Psychology must complete eight 4-credit courses (32 credits) in psychology.

Academic Eligibility:

Higher Secondary Certificate/ISC (State board exams may also be considered for admission).
Students must complete a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in psychology (or the international equivalent).
Students require to have taken some course work in psychology, statistics.
Students required an average grade of 3.0. (83 to 86% or B grade).
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Resume/CV: It is the outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
Three Letter of Recommendation: Letter of recommendation (combination of professional and academic recommenders) which includes information about the student, their connection with the person they are recommending, their qualification, and the specific skills they have.
Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement: This statement must describe your qualifications and the objectives of your intended educational program.
Official Transcripts: Applicants who have attended and/or received degrees from institutions outside the US must provide certified copies and certified English translations of transcripts or records of all previous post-secondary education and of all degrees conferred.
ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
