The MA in Economics is a terminal master’s program that equips its graduates with the advanced knowledge and quantitative skills required for an economic analyst in the business world, the consulting industry, a central bank, or government.
The training provides a thorough understanding of fundamental economic principles, the application of mathematical methods and modeling, and the use of computer software for large-scale data analysis.
It is accomplished through the economics core (four courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, and econometrics) and four elective courses.
The entire program may thus be completed in one academic year.
Candidates must complete a minimum of eight-semester courses (32 credits).

Academic Eligibility:

Higher Secondary Certificate/ISC (State board exams may also be considered for admission).
Students must complete a bachelor’s degree in economics, economics, and mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
Students required an average grade of 3.0. (83 to 86% or B grade).
Students are expected to have passed some advanced undergraduate preparation in economics that includes one year of intermediate macro-and microeconomic analysis and courses in statistics, calculus, and linear algebra.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

The following required documents are:

Resume/CV: It is the outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
Two Letter of Recommendation: Letter of recommendation (combination of professional and academic recommenders) which includes information about the student, their connection with the person they are recommending, their qualification, and the specific skills they have.
Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement: This statement must describe your qualifications and the objectives of your intended educational program at the Department of Economics.
Official Transcripts: Applicants who have attended and/or received degrees from institutions outside the US must provide certified copies and certified English translations of transcripts or records of all previous post-secondary education and of all degrees conferred.
ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
