Appalachian State University?s Exercise Science (BS) - Clinical Exercise Physiology degree provides the academic preparation for students interested in working in a clinical setting with a variety of populations, including people who are obese or have cardiovascular, pulmonary metabolic or pediatric issues.
Classes are designed to teach students about specific pathophysiologies and the accompanying exercise recommendations. A substantial required internship further prepares students for graduate study or immediate entry into the work force. This academic course of study is designed to prepare students for successful completion of the American College of Sports Medicine?s Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist credential.
