Study exactly what you need to succeed in your anthropology-based career. Appalachian State University?s Anthropology (BS) degree allows you to design a multidisciplinary curriculum based on your own career goals combined with training in anthropology.
Anthropologists study everything humans do and create ? be it social organization, medicine and healing systems, economics, science, technology, literature and film, philosophy, indigenous knowledge systems and more. Anthropologists aim to better understand what it means to be human.
In this self-designed program, you will study with Department of Anthropology faculty who are active within their academic fields and often publish research and present papers with students. Students who choose this degree design their own 30-hour concentration including courses from other departments. This allows students to take advantage of curriculum from other departments at Appalachian to pursue their deepest interests.
