The curriculum combines applications of biological sciences with significant hands-on experience, along with opportunities to work on the campus livestock and poultry research units and in the labs. Students also choose one or more emphasis areas in equine, poultry, or livestock (beef cattle, sheep, and swine). Careers are available in science, business, and animal agriculture, as well as pre-professional preparation for veterinary medicine, medical school, graduate school, etc., in physiology, genetics, nutrition, behavior, or biotechnology.
