• Our curriculum provides a firm grounding in the principles and practice of civil engineering while emphasizing creative problem-solving skills, teamwork, and independent inquiry. Building on this foundation our students pursue a wide array of research and professional experiences that provide exposure to the more highly specialized subject matter.
  • Finally, we place great emphasis on civil engineering’s societal implications and future, including the tremendous potential our field holds to solve problems of global importance. Our alumni have successful careers in a variety of fields, including academia, civil engineering practice, law, medicine, and finance. Our goal is to give our students the tools they need to succeed in whatever field they select after their undergraduate degrees.
  • The Civil Engineering curriculum exposes students to the fields of structural engineering, engineering mechanics, systems engineering, environmental engineering, water resources, and geotechnical engineering
  • Students will study courses like Calculus, General Physics, Introductory Chemistry, and Civil Engineering Analysis
