Students work side by side with research leaders in medical imaging; computational biology, bioinformatics, and imaging sciences; sensors, microsystems, and instrumentation; and cell and tissue engineering and biomaterials. They also work directly with Johns Hopkins clinicians at the School of Medicine to provide solutions to today’s most pressing medical challenges.
  • You will be challenged to analyze and solve problems from both an engineering and biological perspective. You will have the opportunity to design new medical devices and therapies inspired by the needs of some of the world’s top physicians. You will also have the freedom to explore and define your own frontiers through elective coursework, research, sports, music, volunteer activities and a variety of extracurricular pursuits. Upon completion of your degree you will be well-prepared to enter the top graduate, medical and professional schools or begin a rewarding career in industry.
