The program combines strong business and finance knowledge with the analytical skills developed in mathematics, statistics, and economics courses. The program prepares students for the first two actuarial examinations required by the Casualty Actuarial Society (CSA) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA). An internship experience is included to give students the opportunity to take the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom and apply them in a work place environment.

In the Aurora University actuarial science program, you?ll not only acquire the knowledge and skills you need to be a professional actuary, but also gain real-world experience so that you can put your education to work in a fulfilling career.

We start with a rigorous curriculum in mathematics and business, where you?ll hone your research, analysis and critical thinking skills. Then, through your intense capstone experience or professional internship, you?ll work alongside practicing actuaries, learn the ins and outs of the field and see for yourself how actuarial science is put into action.
