The B.A. in Communications has five concentrations from which to choose: Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Television/Cinema and Theatre.
Extracurriculars include: Monday Night Film Series, Film Club, Public Relations Club, Bell Ringer newspaper, Phoenix magazine, annual speech contest, theatre productions, and Lambda Pi Eta National Honors Society.
Scholarships: Communications Majors are encouraged to apply for departmental scholarships. Information is available in the main departmental office in Allgood Hall.

Public relations is about learning to build and maintain relationships between an organization and its stake holders. That can include the community where the organization is located, employees, legislators, and the press. PR?s guiding principle is social responsibility and greater long term gain for both the organization and its constituents.
