Audition and interview skills and design portfolios are assessed each year to meet the department student-learning outcome that students will be prepared to interview for professional theatre. Theatre Studies Track students can opt to present their resume and portfolios or resume and audition materials each spring as part of the department?s Assessment Auditions and Interviews.

All Theatre majors take courses in acting, design, directing, dramatic literature, history and theatre technology. These courses provide students with the fundamental skills and tools necessary to be a well-rounded theatre artist.?

Students in the Theatre Studies track have nine hours of theatre electives, typically three courses, and can focus on a particular area like performance or design/tech.
