Program Increase student's understanding of infectious and non-infectious diseases by learning from experts at UAlbany’s School of Public Health and the Wadsworth Center, the public health laboratory of New York State.
Mentorship lies at the heart of the master’s in biomedical sciences program. This enables students to immediately connect with prominent scientists, develop lab skills, and work on biomedical research projects that directly impact public health.
In addition to courses, students can take graduate workshops in advanced light microscopy and image analysis, bioinformatic analysis of large next-generation sequencing datasets, and RNA interference and genome editing technologies.

Academic Eligibility:

Students Must hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
Students must a combined total of at least 42 credits in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Should maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or GMAT results are required.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

A valid passport that has a validity of a minimum of 6 months after students stay in the country
Form DS-160 (Nonimmigrant visa application confirmation page)
Application fee payment Receipt
Form I-20 if applying for a Student visa (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status)
Receipt Number on Petition filed by U.S employer (I-129 form) if applying for a work visa.
Original Marks Sheet or Provisional certificates.
Evidence of sufficient funds in the bank account to ensure you can survive the duration of course in the USA.
Score sheet of standardized exams like IELTS (6.5 or equivalent), TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, etc.
Proof that the candidate will leave the country once the program is completed. A return air ticket to the home country can be evidence of this kind.
