The interdisciplinary bachelor’s in financial market regulation (FMR) at UAlbany is geared to meet the needs of accounting, business, computer science, economics, political science, public policy, and sociology students who want to complete a double major that supports their career goals.
The program helps students to prevent illegal trading and ensure fair play in stock exchanges and other securities markets by designing and enforcing federal and state financial regulations.
In this program, students will learn how to analyze securities data, evaluate compliance, identify unusual market behavior, and locate evidence when companies violate securities laws and FINRA regulations.
This program help students to get into financial regulation jobs that are growing in federal and state agencies, international banking, financial services firms, and global commerce.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a minimum of 120 credits and at least 60 credits in the liberal arts and sciences
Students must achieve and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
The students should have completed the General Education Program at the University at Albany
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

Original Marks Sheet or Provisional certificates.
Evidence of sufficient funds in the bank account to ensure you can survive the duration of course in the USA.
Score sheet of standardized exams like IELTS (6.0 or equivalent), TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, etc.
Proof that the candidate will leave the country once the program is completed. A return air ticket to the home country can be evidence of this kind.
